Coach Brakel is going into his 20th season as the Head
Coach at North Crowley High School. During the last 19 seasons,
Brakel’s Panther teams have compiled a 549-116 record, with 18
playoff appearances, 18 years with 20+ wins and 19 straight years
of being state ranked. Brakel highlighted his coaching career with
a magical 2007-2008 season that saw his Panthers accumulate a 38-1
overall record, win the Texas 5A State Championship and a Consensus
Public School National Championship.
